There is no single price for a tattoo in Spain. A studio prices the piece, not the country: how big it is, how much detail it has and how long it takes. We can only speak for our own studio. At Ink’side in Málaga, a small fine-line tattoo is 50 €, and everything bigger gets a free quote.
What sets the price
Three things decide most of it:
- Size. Measured in centimetres. The bigger the tattoo, the longer it takes.
- Detail. More elements mean more time.
- Colour and solid black. Both take longer than line work.
The artist’s time is what you are paying for. A small tattoo packed with detail also blurs as it ages, so we start from the smallest size your design can carry and tell you that size with the quote.
What we charge for small walk-in tattoos
For walk-in fine line up to 5 × 5 cm, the prices are fixed:
| Piece | Price |
|---|---|
| Fine line, up to 5 × 5 cm, 1 piece | 50 € |
| Fine line, 2 pieces | 80 € |
| Fine line, 3 pieces | 120 € |
The price you see is the price you pay. VAT (IVA in Spain) is included. The current prices are in the prices section of our site.
A small piece like this takes 15–20 minutes. You pay on the day, with no deposit, if you walk in without booking. Walk-in tattoos in Málaga explains how it works.
If you also want a piercing: an earlobe is 25 € (two for 40 €), an ear, face or navel piercing is 50 €, and nipples are 50 € each.
What about bigger or custom work?
Anything that isn’t a small walk-in piece is quoted individually. Send a photo, a sketch or the number of a frame from our work and we quote for free. A cover-up of an old tattoo is quoted from a photo too.
To hold a date for custom work you pay a deposit from 50 €. It comes off the final price.
Getting a quote before you travel
You don’t have to wait until you land. Send your idea to us on WhatsApp: a photo, a screenshot or a sketch. We tell you the price and the smallest size that keeps the design readable. Then you pick a date. We can send the consent form in advance, so the session itself is quick. The steps are in the tattoo on holiday guide.
What to check in any quote
Whichever studio you choose, a good quote answers these:
- Is VAT included?
- What size is the price for?
- Is the deposit taken off the final price?
- Do you get written aftercare?
At Ink’side you get all four. The aftercare also decides how your tattoo looks in a year, so read it before you swim: how long after a tattoo can you swim.
Questions people ask
Is it cheaper to get a tattoo in Spain?
We don’t price against what a tattoo costs where you live. We quote by size, detail and colour, the same as for any client. Ask for a quote before you book and compare it with what you would pay at home.
Do I need a deposit?
Only to hold a date: 20 € at walk-in prices, from 50 € for a custom piece. It comes off the final price. Walk in without booking and you pay on the day.
How old do I have to be?
18 or older, with a photo ID. Under 18 is possible with written consent from a parent or legal guardian. Message us first and we’ll tell you which documents to bring.
Can I bring my own design?
Yes. Bring a sketch, a photo or a screenshot, or pick a frame from our work and we’ll adapt it to you.
